When we acquired the painting we hadn’t attributed it to Jackson Pollock. We knew of his eminence in the art world and history, however we weren’t familiar with his techniques AND MATERIALS , only that he was the master of abstract expressionism and THE emisary of drip. As we examined the painting , Over the last three years , this extradordinary artwork gradually revealed itself to us.
